Sync Profiles

Sync profiles are the profiles used to connect to a directory and automatically synchronise users. They are setup to collect both users and groups automatically every 3 minutes to collect anything that has changed in the period since the last time it synchronised.

To setup a sync profile it is recommended you consult with Cloudwork to make sure you will be adding the correct information.

LDAPS User Sync Profile

LDAPS User Sync Profiles are used to process users from Active Directory and put them into the dashboard as well as their attributes. This allows automated processing of anything between a single user and entire year groups and faculties depending on how you're set up.

LDAPS User Sync Profiles sync every 6 minutes so be aware when making changes that they'll show on the next sync.

To view LDAPS User Sync Profile status in the dashboard you can either view from the Sync Profile page itself

LDAPS Group Sync Profiles

LDAPS Group Sync Profiles are used to process users from Active Directory and put them into the dashboard as well as their attributes. This allows automated processing of groups in the dashboard.

TASS Sync Profiles

TASS Syncing will allow IT admins to import selected users from TASS via Cloudwork Sync Profile. These users include Students, Staff and Parents. Cloudwork can automatically detect and manage parent accounts for split families.

Groups and Users Upload Sync Profiles

User and Group upload sync profiles are specially formatted CSVs that match the attributes supplied in the dashboard to create Groups and Users.

You can check the status of your Upload Sync Profiles by selecting it from the Sync Profiles page in the dashboard and clicking Reports.

This will redirect you to the reports page and show you all the details of recent uploads and syncs.

Deprecated Sync Profiles

Email, LISS and Custom Edumate Sync Profiles are no longer supported in this form and are only in place for legacy customers. Please contact us if you have further questions or concerns regarding these sync profiles.
