Password Reset
To activate password Reset for your Cloudwork instance, 4 things are needed:
- On Studentnet's end, we need to enable password reset feature for your Cloudwork Instance
- Password Reset Details need to exist for the users
- AD needs to be configured so Cloudwork can push passwords back to AD(this is not need for parent users or if your school does not user active directory)
- Link needs to be visible for users to click on

Allowing Cloudwork to push password reset to AD
Follow these instructions to allow Cloudwork to push password resets to AD: Delegate Reset Permission
Enabling Password Reset Link
- Login in to Cloudwork dashboard, click the menu bar>settings
- Login Theme>Login Page Settings>Edit
- Check the box Show password Reset Link
Now on the login there will be a link that users can click on the reset their password. Follow this link to view how the password reset flow looks like: Password Reset Flow
Customizing text for Password Reset Link
- Login in to Cloudwork dashboard, click the menu bar>settings
- Login Theme>Login Page Settings>Edit
- In password Forgot Password Link enter the text you want users to see on the login page when wanting to reset password.
Customizing Password Reset Text
For the texts that is seen in the Password Reset Flow, each text is customizable. Each part is labelled in the following link Login Theme
The settings to edit the text will be under: Login Theme>Password Recovery Settings>Edit

Q:Can teachers reset student password?
A:This is not something we can easily support, an alternative is to create an admin role for only changing passwords and viewing users. Once the role has been assigned, give this role to the relevant teachers: For more information about Roles visit here
